I went to a trade show last week and had the privilege of meeting Joyce Wan. She’s an artist who specializes in children’s graphic design. She has the two cutest monkeys in her line. They’re named Kiwi and Pear and they love to travel all over the world. Joyce was approached by a publisher last year who was interested in producing a book using Kiwi and Pear as the stars of the story. I am so glad that they did. The book is cute as can be. It comes with a poster and stamps that you can use to track Kiwi and Pear’s adventure as they travel the globe and onward into space. Tornado Boy loves it and so do I. Not only can he name more places on Earth, but he now recognizes some of our more famous monuments because of reading the book. I highly recommend this adorable story. Amazon even has Greetings from Kiwi and Pear as a bargain book now – you can’t beat that! I love things that make geography so much fun.

I was on a mission to find the book that would take my daughter around the world in an easy way for a while. Ordering it from Amazon at once. Have you tried Loreen Leedy books? It has one called Blast Off to Earth that teaches a little about each continent in a very fun way. It has been a big hit in our house.
